It’s not something a police officer expects to receive after giving out a ticket – but one woman wanted to say thanks.

The Alpharetta Department of Public Safety posted the picture of the handwritten note on their Facebook page. The department says the young woman was stopped due to a traffic violation.

Upon receiving a citation the young lady signed it and told the officer, "thank you.” As he started to walk off she handed him a note and then drove away without saying anything else.

In the note she told the officer that his job is very dangerous and wanted to thank him for keeping her and her family safe.
