Woman killed by falling rock, ice on closed Yosemite trail
A California woman was killed while hiking a closed trail at Yosemite National Park on Sunday after she was hit by a falling rock and ice.
Xuan Wang, 56, died shortly after she was hit by the rock and ice, park officials said in a press release, KNTV reported.
Wang apparently slipped past a warning sign that the trail was closed due to dangerous winter conditions.
She “ignored the signs” and walked around a “clearly marked” gate, officials said.
