A Lake Stevens, Wash. woman is suing Snohomish County saying jail staff ignored her as she was "forced to give birth" in a toilet.

The incident happened in 2013, when the woman was locked up on drug and theft charges, according to the lawsuit filed Wednesday.

The lawsuit claims  jail employees violated the woman's rights by "denying her medical care."

The Seattle PI reports paramedics did arrive after the birth and took both mother and baby to a hospital.

KIRO 7 Seattle reached out for comment, but did not hear back by the time of this writing.
