In a fortunate turn of events -- in multiple senses of the word -- a woman in New Jersey found a $470,000 lottery ticket just two weeks before the ticket expired.

According to the Associated Press, Yokasta Boyer, from Clifton, found the Jersey Cash 5 ticket, which had been purchased in April 2015, while she was filing her taxes.

Boyer, who works both a full-time and part-time job, told the Associated Press that she will use the money to help to pay off debts and spend time with her family over the Christmas season.

She bought the ticket at a Quick Mart in Clifton.
