Delaware State Police are investigating the death of a woman who fell from a zip line in a state park.

The 59-year-old woman fell about 40 feet from the Go Ape Tree Top Adventure attraction Wednesday afternoon, according to the police report.

The woman was treated at the scene before being taken by ambulance to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The victim's name was being withheld pending the notification of her next of kin. Authorities said no one else was injured.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
