Apparently the family was in the car with the children in the backseat when an argument broke out with her husband over paperwork regarding her newborn child.  When he refused to sign the paper, Johnson threw the scalding liquid at him which also hit the two girls.

They were taken to a hospital were they suffered from first and second-degree burns.
