A woman from New Jersey was bitten on the buttocks and hand by a shark in Melbourne Beach, Florida, on Wednesday, according to Brevard County Ocean Rescue.

The 42-year-old woman was swimming in waist-deep water about a quarter-of-a-mile from the Spessard Holland South Beach Park lifeguard tower.

The woman was taken to a hospital.

Her condition and name are unknown.
