A 65-year-old Gainesville, Florida, woman took matters into her own hands when she said she found a man, dressed only in his underwear, trying to break into her car Sunday morning.

Clarese Gainey told WGFL how she stopped the man she saw.

“I grab my bat, I brace myself and I ease the door open.”

Then police said Antonio Mosely, who is 5 feet 6 inches tall and 300 pounds, charged the woman.

"I took that bat and hit him upside the head like 'pi-yah!' He said 'Ow!'", Gainey recounted for WGFL.

Police said Mosely left behind his pants, shirt and a sock when he ran to a nearby mobile home park. K-9 units tracked him inside a home where he was wearing pants. Police said they found cocaine in the pocket, WGFL reported.

Gainey identified Mosely as the man she hit, thanks to the injury to his head.

Mosely was charged with burglary and drug possession, WGFL reported.

Gainey said he could have been in much worse condition.

"He better be glad I didn't have a gun. Because I would have shot him. but this is my gun right here," as she motioned to her bat for WGFL cameras. "Because I gone 'pi-yow!'"
