Detectives say a witness said he saw a woman identified as 22-year-old Carlesha Freeland  yelling for help as she was being forced into a dark gray four-door vehicle at about 9:40 p.m. Sunday in the Germantown section of the city.

Police said the victim's glasses and cellphone were dropped onto the highway, and the witness said he broke the rear windows on the driver's and passenger's side before the car fled.

Lt. John Stanford, a police spokesman, said Mayor Michael Nutter had approved the $10,000 reward and was asking anyone with information to call the police tip line or the northwest detectives division.
