The 30-year-old man, from Edgerton, was operating the bulldozer while excavating a property in Rock County, the Wisconsin State Journal reported.

Rock County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Pete Falk said in a statement that several emergency crews were called to the property in Milton around 5:30 p.m.

First responders attempted CPR, but the man died at the scene, WKOW reported. The man was working alone, Falk said.

Authorities have not released the man's name, WMTV reported. Police called the incident "a tragic accident" and said an investigation is ongoing, the television station reported.
