The jackpot has ballooned from $40 million on Nov. 4. That was around the time the Multi-State Lottery Association changed the odds of winning from 1 in 175 million to 1 in 292.2 million.

The large prize ratcheted up sales of the $2 tickets. An estimated $277 million was spent on tickets on Friday. It is expected that about $400 million worth of ticket were sold Saturday.
