Just days after losing her husband to his battle with cystic fibrosis, a woman died from the same disorder. She was 26 years old.

Katie and Dalton Prager's love story touched millions of people around the world. They met on Facebook when they were 18 years old and bonded over their battles with cystic fibrosis. They were called the real-life "Fault in Our Stars" couple.

They were married in 2011 and spent a few years living together before their health situations forced them to treatment centers in separate states.

Dalton died at a Kentucky hospital last weekend surrounded by family. He was FaceTiming his wife when he passed.

"My angel, my best friend, the love of my life, my husband went to be with the Lord our God today," Katie wrote on Facebook Saturday. "He was a courageous fighter and 'give up' wasn't in his vocabulary."

On Thursday morning, Katie also died.

"Early this morning, she gained her wish of being at home, in her bed, surrounded by her mom, dad, brother and her dogs, dying peacefully, away from the hospital, tubes, IVs," Katie's mother, Debbie, wrote on Facebook. "I know Dalton was waiting with open arms."
