Need to justify a second (or third, or fourth) cup of coffee today? There's a holiday for that.
Monday is National Coffee Day, CNN reports.
A number of national chains are celebrating by offering — what else? — free coffee. Dunkin’ Donuts is offering a free cup of its new dark roast coffee, and McDonald’s has been giving away free coffee during breakfast hours for two weeks, according to CNN.
Krispy Kreme is also giving away a 12-ounce coffee. The Canadian chain Tim Horton’s is celebrating by giving away gift cards, according to CNN.
Starbucks is not offering any in-store promotions, but it is offering $25 off $100 purchases on Starbucks.com, according to the Sun-Sentinel.
National Day Calendar also reports that certain Chick-fil-A chains, Wawa, LaMars, Pilot, Kangaroo Express and Brooklyn Water Bagel Co. are offering free coffee or coupons.
