Incredible video footage revealed how police were able to track a suspect involved in a high-speed chase with the help of a Boston area news helicopter.
The chase began in Walpole, Massachusetts, southeast of Boston after Officer Matt Crown went to look at a car that was off a dirt road near a dam.
Police said that when the officer went up to the car and asked for license and registration, the suspect then suddenly rolled up his windows, pinning Crown.
The suspect sped off, dragging the officer for about 100 yards at about 30 mph until he was able to free himself.
This incident sparked the multi-town pursuit with the suspect hopping medians, driving on sidewalks and weaving in and out of traffic during the high-speed chase.
SkyFox, which serves as a news helicopter for WFXT, was over the scene as the suspect was chased by police.
The suspect's car crashed multiple times during the pursuit and eventually burst into flames when he came to a stop.
The suspect crawled under a fence and ran into a neighboring apartment building.
Police say the suspect was cornered by officers while inside the apartment complex. The suspect said "It's over, I give up," and was then arrested.
