Tourists were treated — sort of — to an interaction with an African elephant that was a little too real.

According to Mashable, the American and Irish tourists were sitting around the table at Mana Pools National Park in Zimbabwe when an unhappy elephant showed up. Things remained peaceful for the first minute of the video.

According to YouTube poster knockbaun, the group was eating brunch when the animal approached and started eating pods off the ground. They tried to stay very still to avoid startling the animal.

But then, at the 1:09 mark in the video, the elephant switches into attack mode.

"To clarify, nobody was feeding the elephant and nobody threw anything. A pod fell from the tree behind where we were sitting," the post said. "This is what the elephant was eating the entire time."

The post says that the animal likely had poor eyesight and was startled when it spotted the group.
