A Utah mom's new take on a frequently covered Leonard Cohen song has gone viral.
Shannon Christensen Abbott posted a clip of herself on Facebook singing her own version of "Hallelujah," exchanging the true lyrics with words that reflect her hectic life as a mom of two.
Just over a week later, her Facebook video has been viewed more than 3 million times.
“Unbelievable,” she said. “I am thrilled and humbled that this silly little song that I wrote for a silly little talent show in teeny, tiny Payson, Utah, could bring so much joy to people around the WORLD.”

One of the songs I sang for the talent show. I have always loved the song "Hallelujah" but the lyrics to the original version are, well, weird! So I changed them to fit my stay-at-home mommy life! Enjoy! (Also, sorry for the constant bang flips...a trim is definitely in order) and how CUTE and GOOD is my boy! Oh I could just eat him up! But then I would gain over 20lbs, so maybe I'll just kiss him instead of eat him. Lol!
