A surveillance video at a salon in Tamarac shows a teen stealing a 4-year-old’s iPad out of his hands.
The young boy was watching cartoons on his iPad on July 24 while waiting for his mother who works at the salon. Just before 7 p.m. the thief snatched the iPad right from his hands and ran out the door when an employee turned her back, the video shows.
According to the Broward County Sheriff's Office, the teen was pacing back and forth outside the salon and opened the front door and asked if his mother was there.
The suspect is believed to be 5'6" with a slender build. His hair was shaved and had twists on the top, police said.
The Broward County Sherrif's Office reported on its Facebook page that Olympic Gold Medalist Howard Davis Jr. dropped off a brand new iPad to the boy.
