Watch Ted Cruz do impressions of ‘The Simpsons’ characters — no, really

Ted Cruz is the junior U.S. senator from Texas. Ted Cruz isrunning for president. Ted Cruz loves "The Simpsons," apparently.

It's not often that we see Cruz goofing around (his rhetoric sometimes takes foreboding turns), but Buzzfeed must be a senator whisperer. With longtime "Simpsons" voice actorHarry Shearer leaving the animated show, the website gotCruz to "audition" as his replacement in a minute-long video. The presidential candidate does his best takes on characters like Mr. Burns, Ned Flanders and, of course, Homer Simpson. Watch it below.

We expect Jeb Bush’s impression of Stewie Griffin to hit the web any day now.
