WATCH: NYPD officer's rant at Uber driver caught on video

A video that appears to show a New York police officer's expletive-laden rant against an Uber driver is under investigation, WNBC reports.

The New York Police Department told WNBC that the city's independent Civilian Complaint Review Board will handle the investigation into the viral video, which was posted to YouTube on Monday. (WARNING: Linked video contains graphic language.)

The man who posted the YouTube video, Sanjay Seth, said he was a passenger in the car. He said the Uber driver honked at the plain-clothed officer, who was trying to park without using a turn signal. The officer then pulled up to the Uber driver and began screaming, Seth said.
"Stop it with your mouth, stop it with your, 'For what, sir,'" the officer says in the video. "Stop it with that ... and realize the three vehicle and traffic law violations you committed. ... You understand me? I don't know what [expletive] planet you think you're on right now."
The NYPD confirmed Tuesday that the man featured in the video is an NYPD member.
