For years, innovation for Mississippi State University's football team meant the wishbone offense installed by coach Emory Bellard during the 1970s.

The Bulldogs, however, have now mastered the digital age with a flourish.

The school released a two-minute video on Twitter that is fun, inventive and pokes good-natured fun at its football opponents for the 2020 season. Never mind that a down has yet to be played in 2019. The 2020 season looks far more interesting.

Each school on the Bulldogs' 2020 schedule features a short video clip that will elicit giggles and snickers, AL.com reported.

“Twitter sometimes gets taken too seriously,” Bill Martin, senior associate athletic director for communications, told the website Wednesday. “These schedule announcements can get kind of boring. Again, it is absolutely no ill-will to any fan base or team. If it makes you laugh, then we accomplished (our goal).

“It is something unique and different. Sometimes you just have to have fun with things, you know? This is a way to do it.”
