The first official TV spot for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" dropped this weekend, delighting fans of the popular sci-fi franchise.

The 30-second video, posted Sunday to the "Star Wars" Twitter account, includes a voice-over from Lupita Nyong'o's character, Maz Kanata, and clips featuring Daisy Ridley, Harrison Ford and John Boyega.
"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" opens Dec. 18.
