The incident was caught on a security camera when Mike King, a former Marine, stopped at the home of Gail Cook and noticed that her flagpole was down.

King attempted to raise the flagpole and realized that the pole was broken. He then removed the American flag and used the correct method of folding the United States flag.

A Baltimore Ravens flag was also folded.

According to The Baltimore Sun, when Cook arrived at her home, she found the two flags folded neatly on her porch.

"He did this not knowing anyone was watching — he just did it because it's the right thing to do, and we just really appreciate that he took the time to do that for us," Cook told the Sun.

FedEx recognized King in a statement sent to The Baltimore Sun:

"FedEx Ground is proud of the many contributions our team members and vendors make to our local communities every day. We commend the patriotic actions of Mike King, a service provider employee who went above and beyond to properly care for a fallen American flag while on his route."

King has not yet commented on his good deed.
