A FedEx truck with an unsecured back door was captured on video dropping packages along a Colorado highway.

Phil Dickson uploaded to YouTube the video he took while trailing behind the FedEx truck on a stretch of Highway 40 in Colorado.

Dickson spoke to Denver TV station KCNC about the video, saying he was driving with his three children last week when he had to swerve to avoid the packages that started falling from the FedEx truck.

Dickson signaled the FedEx driver by flashing his lights and told the driver his door was open and packages were falling out.

KCNC reports Dickson’s adventure was not complete. On the way home, Dickson and his children found a package that had not been retrieved by the FedEx driver.

Finding the package recipient’s contact info on the mailing label, Dickson called him to let him know about the package.

"Told him I just dropped it off at the FedEx center and it may be delayed and beat up a bit, but he should be receiving it shortly," Dickson told KCNC. "He thought it was amusing, thanked me and told me to have a Merry Christmas."
