According to The New York Times, the lingerie giant recently cast 22-year-old Valentina Sampaio, a transgender model from Brazil, to appear in its VS Pink catalog, agent Erio Zanon said.

CNN reported that the campaign for the brand's athletic wear will be released later this month.

Zanon said his client is "very happy" about the news, "Entertainment Tonight" reported.

"She hopes that it shall continue to break barriers and to make a step to more inclusivity and representation for everybody," Zanon told the entertainment outlet.

Victoria's Secret has not publicly commented on the move.
