United introduces sleepy-time seats for intercontinental flights
Remember when air travel was more of a luxury than a cattle call?
A new design by United Airlines may hearken back to those times when service was key.
It's called the United Polaris business class, and it will focus on providing a restful trip for intercontinental fliers.
The company is now adding the Polaris seats to its wide body plane intercontinental fleet.
The new seats are pods that can convert into a 6-foot, 6-inch bed, use mood lighting and feature a do-not-disturb sign among other hi-tech amenities.
The new features will launch Dec. 1.

There's no word on how much the new seats will cost flyers.
