Two well-known brands have joined forces to create a new line of footwear, and they want you to "suspend your disbelief."

Ugg and Teva, both divisions of Deckers Brands, teamed up to produce unique boot and sandal designs reminiscent of both brands' signature products.

The open-toed shoes come with a Velcro strap, rubber Teva soles and sheepskin lining.

Deckers called the shoes "quirky-cool hybrids that are designed to take on the urban trail" and said that the collaboration, "conceived at the intersection of fashion and function," "encompasses a bold offering tailor-made for the tastemaker who seeks an extra dose of style in their daily adventures."

The boot-sandal hybrid comes in navy, black and grey and sells for $225. The sandal comes in white, army green and black and sells for $175.

The "Today" show called the shoes a cringe-worthy "Frankenstein hybrid," Glamour dubbed the collaboration "the world's strangest" and Huffington Post called the hybrid boot "the stuff of nightmares."

Most reactions to the new shoes -- especially the hybrid boot-sandal -- have been negative, but some -- like those who say, "your feet would love those" -- have been positive.
