The intersection of 71st and Memorial in south Tulsa isn't usually known for making people smile, but it was a different situation on Saturday.
Stephen King, who typically works for an energy drink company was there to cheer people up.
“It’s my day off,” said King.
So he did what almost no one else does on their day off. He grabbed two signs, that say “smile.”
He then put on headphones, shorts and went and danced for drivers.
“People drive around mean mugging all the time, sometimes when I’m having a particularly bad day, it helps me as well. It’s a reminder for me, for them.”
Not all drivers are receptive to King’s display.
“Every now and then someone flips me off,” said King.
He says for every angry driver he gets 10 smiles.
While KOKI was there, the crew noticed a lot of people honking and egging him on and at least one other shouted at him in anger.
King is also an aspiring artist who is working on a television production.
