Francisco Montemayor, 81, was with his wife June 15 when they slowed along a narrow two-lane road to pass a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper who was conducting a traffic stop, KTRK reported.

"He took his fist and he hit my parents' car," Marcie Creek, their daughter, told KTRK. "Literally."

Creek told KTRK her mother opened the door, apologized to the trooper and asked about the window.

“(Expletive) go,” he replied.

The couple then drove off.

Investigators with the Department of Public Safety visited the family Monday.

"After learning about this incident, the department took immediate action based on preliminary findings," officials told KTRK in a statement. "The trooper involved is being suspended pending the outcome of an investigation by the DPS Office of Inspector General and the Texas Rangers."
