A monument honoring Andrew Young made its debut downtown Monday as a larger-than-life tribute to the civil rights icon and former Atlanta mayor. Dozens of political and business leaders and other guests braved brisk weather to witness the unveiling of the 8.5-foot bronze statue created by North Carolina sculptor Johnpaul Harris at Walton Spring Park, where Andrew Young International Boulevard and Spring Street intersect in the shadow of the Westin Hotel.
