7 things to know now: Lamar Odom found unresponsive in brothel

1.  Larmar Odom found unresponsive: Former NBA player and  reality star Lamar Odom was found  unresponsive in a Las Vegas brothel Tuesday.  The ex-husband of Khloe Kardashian had been taking Viagra and had consumed part of a bottle of cognac, according to the owner of the Love Ranch brothel near Las Vegas. Odom, who is 6-foot-10, was too tall to be airlifted to the hospital and had to be taken by ambulance.

2. How to get some legislative attention: Seems that if you want to get the ear of your representatives in  Washington all you have to do is tweet on Twitter, or post on Facebook.  According to a survey of congressional aides, it takes fewer than 10 social media posts or tweets in response to what a representative of senator said or did on an issue to get the attention of that person's staff. 3. Clinton scores in debate: Hillary Clinton is being seen by most as the winner of the first Democratic debate of the 2016 election season. The former secretary of state got applause when she said a House select committee investigating the attack on the American Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, "is basically an arm of the Republican National Committee." Here opponent, Sen. Barry Sanders, scored points when he said about Clinton, "the American people are sick and tired of hearing about your damn emails."

4. Not in favor of tribute: The Southern Christian Leadership Conference and the Atlanta and DeKalb branches of the NAACP say they are not in favor of a tribute to Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. that is planned for Stone Mountain. The groups are opposed to the placement of a tribute there because, by Georgia law, the site is designated a Confederate memorial. Representatives of the group are set to meet with Gov. Nathan Deal Wednesday.

5. Toddler found dead: A 3-year-old New Jersey boy was found dead just hours after he was reported missing Tuesday. Brendan Creato was found dead in woods about a half a mile from his Haddon Township home. He had been reported missing around 6 a.m.  Authorities say they are waiting on autopsy results to determine the cause of death.
