It was a ham calamity in Indianapolis Friday morning when a semi overturned, spilling its load of ham.
The tractor-trailer was carrying more than 40,000 pounds of Hormel ham products at the time, WXIN reported.
WRTV said the weight was about 50,000 pounds of meat.
Police said it would be awhile until the mess would be fully cleaned up because another truck would have to get to the location to load all of the meat to cart it away.
It will all be disposed of by order of the health department, WRTV reported.
The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital for treatment, WXIN reported.
Police said that they don't believe speed was a factor, WRTV reported.
