Ric Ocasek, the lead singer and guitarist for The Cars is dead at 75.

According to WNBC, police found his body in his townhouse in New York City. Police told WPIX that Ocasek was found in his bed unconscious and unresponsive around 4 p.m. They said there was no sign of foul play and that the medical examiner was to determine a cause of death.

As the famed frontman, the Cars stormed the charts with a trove of hits including “Shake It Up,” “My Best Friend’s Girl,” “You Might Think” and “Magic.”

Paulina Porizkova separated from Ocasek in 2018. The pair first met while filming the music video for "Drive." They have two children.

The Cars were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.
