If this doesn't make driving more carefully one of your New Year's resolutions, maybe nothing will.
YouTuber TurboFoz uploaded dashcam footage of his horrible wreck from January 4, 2015 one year later to educate the public on driving safety.
According to Mashable, TurboFoz was driving his 2004 Subaru Forester XT on the Angeles Crest Highway in California. In the video description, he says as he went through a tunnel, he liked the way his car exhaust sounded so he sped up, unaware that there was a curve ahead.
He slammed on his brakes but couldn't stop in time, sending him over the side of the mountain.
"It was at this moment I knew I had f***ed up," TurboFoz wrote.
The dashcam footage from inside the car shows the vehicle flipping once. Fortunately for TurboFoz, a large boulder kept the car from tumbling all the way down the mountain.
"I'm primarily posting this in an attempt to help others learn from my mistakes," TurboFoz wrote onYouTube. "This is a reminder to be safe, pay attention and know the road before you try to have 'fun' on it. I failed on all three of those accounts and it nearly cost me my life."
