So owner Thomas Neil Rodriguez determined to take Poh on a cross-country tour, crossing items off their bucket list along the way.

"I thought I had a week with him the most," Rodriguez told WTSP.

However, Rodriguez shared their adventures from New York to California on Instagram where Poh's following grew to more than 125,000 people over the last year.

The final item on the list: A dip in the Gulf of Mexico.

Poh got his chance to dip his paws in the warm, salt water Thursday.

"This is probably what it is going to be like in doggy heaven for him," Rodriguez told WTSP. "Waves crashing, sand on his paws."
