The victim told Woodard where she lived, but he started to drive in the opposite direction. According to the affidavit, she repeatedly asked Woodard to let her go. She noticed the door handle on the passenger side was missing, which kept her from jumping out.

Police said Woodard stopped at a park and started touching her. The teen distracted Woodard and was able to get away. However, he caught up with her shortly thereafter, pulled her hair, slapped her and threatened to kill her. He threw her back in the truck and started driving.

The teen saw a police car as they were driving. To get the officer's attention, she grabbed the wheel, causing the truck to swerve toward the squad car.

The affidavit states she got out and ran to the officer.

Woodard was arrested. He is now charged with aggravated kidnapping, sexual battery and solicitation of a minor. He is being held on $100,000 bail and will be in court on Monday.
