Tommy Adams did his good deed for the week and then some.
While in the car with his mother, the high school senior asked her to stop the car.
An elderly man using a walker was trying to shovel snow out of his driveway.
The teenager offered the older man a helping hand, telling WTVR that the man seemed surprised by the offer, but that he looked relieved and tired.
It took approximately 15 minutes to clear the driveway, while the homeowner stayed warm in his car.
The man thanked the teenager for his hard work and said the world needed more people like him.
Teresa Adams was so proud of her son that she started to cry. She also took a photo of him performing his good deed. The photo made it onto social media where it quickly went viral. The story was posted on WTVR’s Facebook page where it generated over 15,000 likes.
