Teen expelled for posting teacher's Facebook photo

Told he couldn't change his hair color, he found a photo of a teacher with dyed hair.

This could be the perfect case of "do as I say and not as I do".

According to CNET, teenager Jordan Ford was told by his school he must remove the dye he'd recently used to color his mohawk. School leadership said it was against policy, and his hair would have to be returned to its natural color.

So he went on Facebook and found a picture of his school's associate headteacher, Keziah Featherstone, with, you guessed it, dyed purple hair. The photo of the school leader, sporting a goofy, open-mouthed grin, also showed her wearing bright pink Doc Martins and a loud, flowered dress.

The school says he re-posted the picture and added some choice comments about her setting a bad example and being overweight.

The school was not amused, and the UK teen was ultimately suspended.

The school defended its actions, telling "The Telegraph" that Ford violated their social media policy.

"Jordan and his parents signed a home school agreement in terms of acceptable use of IT, which is very clear," said the school's chief executive, Mark Davies. "Even if it was in his own time, it invaded a person's private space, and he copied pictures from a staff member's personal Facebook profile."

Ford's parent's defended their son, saying the school was just looking for an excuse to get rid of him.

"We think it's unfair that he's been punished because he's the class clown," his father John Ford told "The Telegraph''. "He dyed his hair red, and the school made a really big thing of it, but there are teachers up there with colored hair."
