Reports indicate that Silicon Valley tech executive and Survey Monkey founder and CEO David Goldberg died while exercising during a family vacation in Mexico.
Goldberg’s death had been previously reported, but these are the first reports of the circumstances surrounding his death.
Goldberg, 47, is said to have been exercising at a resort gym, where he collapsed. Efforts to revive him there and at a hospital were unsuccessful.
Goldberg and his wife, Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, have two small children.
A private, invitation-only "celebration" of his life is planned for Tuesday. Walt Disney Company is said to be postponing their earnings report so executives can attend the memorial. Sandberg is a member of the Walt Disney Company board, the NYT reported.
