Altice is serving a 2-to-30 year prison sentence after pleading guilty to sexual abuse charges in 2013.

Deseret News reported that the two-page response was submitted last month in response to a lawsuit filed against Altice and the school district last December by one of the victim's parents.

The parents claim that the school did nothing when school employees complained about Altice's inappropriate behavior with male students.

The Davis School District and Davis High School denied wrongdoing in a response and said a similar claim was tossed out by a state court, citing governmental immunity.

The former Davis High School English teacher said in the response that she could not afford a lawyer and that she was never reprimanded by superiors for the way she dressed, according to The Salt Lake Tribune.

She said the then-16-year-old boy whose parents are suing her would "thwart inappropriate comments directed at her."

Altice said the boy would come to her for advice on his relationship with his parents. She wrote that she told him "to communicate with his parents and continue to do his best in school."

She added that during the school year in which she taught him, his grades improved.

KTSU reported that Altice wrote that she "had no evil or malicious intent to cause harm."

Another victim's family also filed a lawsuit against Altice, saying that she took advantage of their son when he admitted to being sexually abused in the past.

The three boys individually testified in a preliminary hearing that they had sex with Altice.

Altice has admitted to touching three students' genitals between January and September 2013.

Dates for the trial in the lawsuit have not been set.
