A group of high school students are counting on Taylor Swift to save them from taking their final exams.

World History teacher Colter Pierce has made a deal with his students: if Taylor Swift gives him a call, he will cancel the final exam for the semester.

"Pretty much all semester I've been talking about Taylor Swift," Pierce told KTVQ-TV.

Sophomore Ike Stoner came up with the idea as a joke at first.

"I just wanted to see if I could get more followers on Twitter," Ike tells the news station.

A 'contract' was written on a dry erase board that reads: "If Taylor Swift calls me, my students dont' have to take their finals." It is then signed by Pierce.

A photo was taken of the two shaking hands on the deal and was posted to classmate Ashton Jaymes Goodell's Facebook page where it has received over 1,900 shares and counting.

So far, the superstar hasn't called but Pierce says that there's still time.
