A 1-year-old girl severely burned in north Charlotte underwent another major surgery Thursday.

Emily Hinton's family said an operation on her windpipe to help her breath easier went great.

They said she is a fighter and they're praying for a fast recovery.

Hinton opened her eyes for the first time this week following a gas can explosion at her White Aspen Place home last month.
