Scared of spiders? This may be an option.
Researchers think a new treatment may be able to cure you of that phobia, according to a study published in Biological Psychiatry.
It won’t be fun at first, because you’ll need to be exposed to your fear in order to get rid of it. The good news, researchers said the whole thing takes just about two minutes.
The process involves being exposed to a tarantula to get a rise out of you. Once you’re good and scared, they inject you with a drug called propranolol.
Propranolol commonly used as a blood pressure medication.
Once injected, subjects showed reduced ‘avoidance behavior’ and showed more ‘approach behavior.’
