Stocks begin day up after massive Monday selloff

After a major selloff, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed Monday's trading day up gaining more than a hundred points moments after the bell rang. It jumped more than 375 points within five minutes of the start of trading.

Oil prices also climbed, but U.S. crude was still trading below $40 a barrel.

Monday it closed down more than 588 points.

It followed an opening that saw the index falling more than 1000 points Monday morning.
