Officials said the incident happened just after 9 a.m. as Southwest Flight 278, from Oakland, California, was landing.

There were 117 passengers on board when the plane slipped but no injuries were reported, the Los Angeles Times and KCBS-TV reported. The incident happened as heavy rains swept through the area, according to the Times.
