A skier is miraculously okay after falling 1,600 feet down the side of a mountain.

Cameras captured the terrifying ordeal. Professional skier Ian McIntosh was filming the new ski move Paradise Waits in Alaska when he mistakenly skied into a 5-foot trench, causing him to wipe out.

“It felt like I was getting hit by linebackers the whole way down the mountain over, and over, and over again. Full sprinting linebackers,” said McIntosh.

As he fell, McIntosh deployed an airbag in his backpack to soften the blows. After a full minute of falling, he came to a stop.

Other than a few bruises, he amazingly was just fine.
