Indiana State Police Peru post public information officer Tony Slocum spoke at a news conference back in February on the killing of Liberty German, left, and Abigail Williams on a hiking trail in central Indiana. Authorities released a sketch Monday of the man they believed killed the girls.

Indiana State police have released a sketch of the man they believe killed two teenage girls on a hiking trail near Delphi in central Indiana back in February.

Authorities say the composite is a result of numerous tips and shows a man with reddish brown hair, between 5 feet 6 inches tall and 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing between 180 and 220 pounds, WISH TV reported.

Investigators believe the sketch is the person they're looking for in the double homicide investigation.

This composite sketch released Monday, July 17, 2017, by the Indiana State Police shows the man they consider the main suspect in the killings of two teenage girls who disappeared from a hiking trail near their hometown of Delphi in northern Indiana on Feb., 13, 2017.

The bodies of 14-year-old Liberty German and 13-year-old Abigail Williams were found more than five months ago on Feb. 14, a day after they disappeared from the hiking trail where one of the girls' family members had dropped them off for the afternoon.

"(The sketch) is an artist's composite of the information" collected by all the agencies involved in the double murder investigation, including the FBI, Indiana State Police Sgt. Kim Riley said, according to The Associated Press.

The sketch “will give people a clearer image of who we are looking for," Riley said.

Authorities have received thousands of tips in the case and questioned hundreds of people, but so far no arrests have been made in the brutal murders of the two teens.

Anyone with information is asked to call 844-459-5786, no matter how insignificant they believe the information might be.

This grainy photo, released by the Indiana State Police, was found on the phone of one of the murdered girls, and shows a man walking along the trail system in Delphi, Ind. Authorities believe he is the man who killed  the teens.
