One of San Francisco's famous "Painted Ladies" has sold for $900,000 dollars less than its asking price.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports the home across from Alamo Square Park on Steiner and Grove streets was put on the market in 2010, then taken off and re-listed this past March.

It originally had an asking price of $4 million and recently sold for $3.1 million.

The owner bought the Queen Anne Victorian in 1975 for $65,000.
