One of the most popular Christmas displays in Texas is using its popularity to raise money for clean water access in central Africa.
Matt and Melissa Johnson said they initially created the 10-minute dubstep light show for their kids, but are taking it one step further this year by partnering with Living Water International to raise money.
Matt Johnson explained how his wife helped come up with the idea to use the display to raise money:
"The past several months, all she talks about is clean water and how many kids are dying from a lack of clean water. She's already been wanting to do this and we're just extending it to the light show." Johnson told KENS
The Johnsons hope to raise $10,000 during the 2015 Christmas season. You can donate to the campaign here.
The Johnson's home as been featured on ABC's The Great Christmas Light Fight TV show. The family claims that the display uses about the same amount of electricity as a hair dryer.
