Drivers in Philadelphia had quite a surprise this week.

A runaway bull stopped traffic in Center City on Tuesday, WPVI reported.

The bull was destined for the dinner table when he escaped a truck offloading at a slaughterhouse before making his way to I-95, KYW reported.

The animal was put down after it was cornered by members of the Pennsylvania Game Commission due to what officials said were public safety reasons.
