Restaurant 'fires' customer after complaints about autistic delivery driver

A restaurant owner has "fired" a customer after that customer called to complain about one if its employees.
It began when the customer had his meal delivered from Little Italy Restaurante Saturday.
The person was upset that the delivery person mixed up an order, accusing the driver of using drugs. The customer ranted and used foul language, restaurant owner P.J. Gialopsos told the Alaska Dispatch News.
They had complaints about the driver before, but normally when employees explain that the driver is autistic and has a speech impediment, customers understand.
That wasn't the case this time.
When the driver, who was not identified, returned to the business he explained that the customer yelled at him and called him names, the Dispatch News reported.
So instead of lashing out at the driver, Gialopsos decided to "fire" the customer. She then told her staff not to accept calls, reservations or food orders from the person.
She also posted what happened to the restaurant's Facebook page, telling everyone that they will not tolerate their employees being verbally assaulted.
The post went viral, with most comments being supportive.
